For many of us, it may be inconceivable that 116,000 people across Australia are affected by HOMELESSNESS every single night. Homelessness can affect women, men and children of all ages and cultural heritage.
Is it really a big problem in Australia? Yes it is!
Domestic and family violence is a leading cause of homelessness. It’s difficult to imagine how unbearable life would have to become to choose homelessness as the safer option to remaining at home.
I am raising money to support Mission Australia, a nation-wide charity committed to helping vulnerable Australians combat homelessness and provide refuge shelters to those affected by domestic and family violence.
On Thu 21st June, I am organising a Nielsen Market Stalls & Sausage Sizzle fundraising event at our office complex in 11 Talavera Road, Macquarie Business Park where ALL proceeds will go to Mission Australia. Do stop by to support us if you are in the area.
