Get involved and make a difference!
Commencing on the 22nd of July, Terrigal Uniting Church are coming together to help those in our community who need it most.
On the 28th of July we are hosting a High Tea event and will hear from Robyn Richardson, the local Mission Australia Chaplain. Then in August on the 18th we are inviting family and friends to a Winter Warmer Dinner where Rob Paino (former member of the Terrgial Uniting Church congregation) will be our special guest.
To further support our events, we are also fundraising online for two of Mission Australia’s programs.
On any given night this winter, more than 116,000 people will be homeless. While the temperatures drop to freezing across parts of the country, families will huddle together in cars, men and women will sleep round on the streets and others will shiver away in dwellings without money to pay for heating. Mission Australia is currently running its Winter Appeal for 2018 and your donation could help make a difference to the vulnerable Australians who are struggling this winter.
The program helps grandparents revive their parenting skills, and improve their confidence and self-esteem, while developing a support network with others in a similar situation.

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me… whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
- Matthew 25:35-36 & 40
