Meet Darla
For 15 years, Darla lived a stable life in her home. But everything changed when chronic pain and overwhelming grief took hold. Managing her health while navigating the JobSeeker system became more than she could handle.
Eventually, Darla packed her important documents and a few belongings into a garbage bag and took shelter in her car. She never imagined she’d become homeless.
From the streets to safety
1. Outreach and essentials
Through Missionbeat, we connect with women sleeping rough. We build trust while offering essential items such as food, water, sleeping bags, sanitary products, clothing, mobile phones and more.
2. Transitional housing
Our Tenancy Establishment Package helps women settle into transitional housing. We provide support with grocery shopping, household items, bedding and appliances.
3. Safe, permanent homes
Your support ensures a woman in need has a safe place to call home. Furnishing a new space with dignity provides a solid foundation for a fresh start —and a future full of hope.
