Information provided below addresses:

  • Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry.
  • Purchase of a raffle ticket is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by the person whose name is either completed on the ticket or the person identified as a gift recipient.
  • Where a ticket in the raffle is purchased as a gift for or on behalf of another person (gift recipient), the purchaser of the ticket is deemed to be acting as an agent for the other person and that person is deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
  • These terms and conditions apply to all entries into and/or prizes in the competition.
  • All proceeds from the raffle tickets will be donated to Mission Australia.

  • The prize consists of two tickets to the Corporate suite at Accor Stadium to attend the Pink Summer Carnival Concert on 16 March 2024, with food and beverage package. One nights accommodation is offered to winners who reside in Regional NSW and/or 100kms from the metro Sydney area.

 
       Who can Enter?

  • Entry is open to Coates Hire Operations Pty Ltd ABN 99 074 126 971 ("Coates") customers only that reside in NSW, aged 18 years or older. Participants seeking to enter from VIC, ACT, QLD, SA, WA, TAS and NT are ineligible to enter.
  • Employees of Coates, any companies or agencies associated with this raffle, and their immediate families, are ineligible to purchase raffle tickets. Immediate families means a spouse or former spouse, de facto partner or former de facto partner, child, stepchild, parent, stepparent, grandparent, grandchild, sibling, or stepsibling of an employee of Coates.
  • Employees of Mission Australia, any companies or agencies associated with this raffle, and their immediate families, are ineligible to purchase raffle tickets. Immediate families means a spouse or former spouse, de facto partner or former de facto partner, child, stepchild, parent, stepparent, grandparent, grandchild, sibling, or stepsibling of an employee of Mission Australia.
  
 
       How to Enter?

  • Raffle ticket sales will commence on Monday 22 January 2024 at 11:00am (AEDT) and conclude on Sunday 25th February 2024 at 23:59pm (AEDT) ("Promotion Period").
  • 30,000 tickets will be available to be sold. Each ticket costs $10, with an option to purchase single ticket, six tickets or twelve tickets.
  • To enter, entrants must, during the Promotion Period:
  • No late entries will be accepted. Incomplete or incomprehensible entries will be ineligible.
  • Entrants are not restricted or limited to the number of raffle tickets which may be purchased during the Promotion Period.
Mission Australia, along with Coates, reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by Mission Australia to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of these rights.

Selection of Winners

 

The winners will be chosen at random by electronic draw, which will take place on Tuesday 27 February 2024 at 12:00pm (AEDT), by Mission Australia. Entrants need not be present to win.

The first five (5) valid entries drawn will win one of the prizes described above.

The winner will be notified by phone and in writing (i.e. email) by Coates immediately following the drawer being completed by Mission Australia.

Mission Australia reserves the right to request the winners to submit their confirmation email and/or receipt as proof of identity and purchase. Proof of identification and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of Mission Australia.

 

Second Chance Draw

If the winner/s do not respond to phone or email notifications by 29 February 2024 and all reasonable efforts have been made to contact the winner via the contact details provided, the tickets will be forfeited and Mission Australia reserves the right to select another winner through a second chance draw.

If necessary, a second chance draw will be held at 12.00pm on Thursday 1 March 2024 at the same time and place as the first draw. The first valid entry drawn will win any unclaimed prize.

The winner will be notified by phone and in writing (ie email) by Coates immediately upon completion of the draw by Mission Australia. 

Mission Australia reserve the right to request the winner to submit their confirmation email as proof of identity and purchase. Proof of identification and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of Mission Australia.

 

Standard Terms

  • Nothing in these terms and conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports limit, exclude or modify Mission Australia’s liability in relation to the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (Non-Excludable Guarantees). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, Mission Australia (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury, or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the raffle including:
  1. any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under Mission Australia’s control);
  2. any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
  • any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by Mission Australia) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of Mission Australia;
  1. any variation in prize value to that stated in these terms and conditions;
  2. any tax liability incurred by the winner or entrant; or
  3. use of the prize.
  • To the extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), if for any reason the raffle is not capable of running as planned, including (but not limited to) tampering or any other causes beyond the control of Mission Australia, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of the raffle, Mission Australia reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be appropriate, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the raffle, subject to regulatory approval.
  • In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, pandemics, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; Mission Australia may in its absolute discretion cancel or postpone the promotion and recommence it at another time on the same conditions subject to regulatory approval.
  • By entering the raffle, you consent to Mission Australia using your personal information to send you information about Mission Australia’s news, events, products, services and general information about Mission Australia, including by email, text messages and phone calls.

  • By entering into the raffle, the winner agrees to participate in promotional activity relating to the raffle and Mission Australia.
  • Mission Australia is not liable for any tax implications arising from prize winnings, including fringe benefits tax. Independent financial advice should be sought prior to accepting the prize.
  • The laws of NSW apply to this competition. Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the laws of the state or territory of which is they reside.
