Running for Homeless

By Warren Lund

46km

So Sunday I completed my first long run. 46km, I saw one tent next to the freeway and a family sleeping in a car. I really is sad how many homeless I see in a city like perth.

Join my mission to help end homelessness!

I'm getting active to raise funds to end homelessness, but I need your help.

On any given night more than 116,000 Australians - including over 44,000 children and young people - don't have a safe place to call home. This statistic has risen almost 14% in the past 5 years, and in a wealthy nation like ours I think this is unacceptable.

Please sponsor me and support people at risk or experiencing homelessness.

I have been running very early in the morning for months not and through out winter I have been amazed  by the number of people that I see sleeping in cars and under bridges. I chose Mission as my charity for this challenge to try and help this situation.

I plan to run an 50Mile (~80km) ultra marathon on my 46th Birthday body and soul willing.

Every bit counts, so please give what you can. Together, we stand with Australians in need, until they can stand for themselves.
