I'm donating my birthday to support Mission Australia

We are so happy that Eden turns 6 this year! We also are aware that she has lots of stuff, she does not really need more stuff on her birthday. What Eden really wants is for her friends to come to her birthday and have lots of fun together!

If you would like to make a donation to Mission Australia is lieu of giving a present this will help give familes a safe and secure home this Christmas. Eden loves to receive presents but is sad when she hears there are kids who might not get any.

In a recent family trip to American and Canada we saw much homelessness. There was one memorable time in Calgary when we saw a lady begging who could have been a grandmother, Eden was moved to give then and wants to give now to help others.

Mission Australia is a Christian Charity that has been helping families for the last 155 years. You may not be aware that more than 7,000 families will be homeless this Christmas.

In 2016, more than 86% of our income went straight back into delivering services that assisted vulnerable Australian's.

In 2016 we helped 131,015 by combatting homelessness, assisting disadvantaged families and children, addressing mental health issues, fighting substance dependencies, and much more.  

Our aim is to raise $300 that will help some families and children who are struggling this Christmas.

On our website there is a very moving account of Craig, Laura and Sophie (their 10 year old daughter) who moved to the city for a factory job, and when his hours were reduced found themselves living with relatives until they had no capacity to help with bills. Left with no alternative they spent last Christmas in an inner city park. Fortunately a Mission Beat Driver was able to get them into local crisis accommodation facility. They are now have a roof over their head and are safe and working towards more permanent accommodation.
