Help build hope and possibility for all.
As a firefighter and a paramedic, we regularly see people at some of the most challenging moments of their lives. The idea for this fundraiser came after Chloe attended a particularly confronting incident, which led to a deeper conversation between us. Through our combined experiences, we’ve both witnessed the kind of suffering that can occur when people don’t have the support they need — with children often being among the most vulnerable.
We are raising funds for Mission Australia because their work focuses on the areas we know make a real difference:
- Housing and homelessness
- Mental health
- Children, young people and families
- Employment, financial support and community engagement
- Alcohol and other drugs services
- People with disability
We believe that strengthening these supports not only reduces suffering, but can help prevent these situations from occurring in the first place. We were both fortunate to have safe and secure childhoods, and we want this to be the norm for every child.
At the core of what we do is a simple belief: to leave things better than we found them. This fundraiser is our way of putting that belief into action and contributing to stronger, more supported communities.
Cost-of-living pressure, global uncertainty... it's a challenging time to fundraise! But we believe in the power of community and humanity. If you’re able to give, we are deeply grateful. If not, sharing the message still makes a difference.
Look up. Be kind. Let’s leave it better.
Mission: Possible 🤝
Chloe and Kristi xx
