Your kindness becomes someone’s turning point
Every donation goes directly to Mission Australia, helping provide:
- Crisis accommodation for people with nowhere safe to sleep
- Support for families escaping unsafe situations
- Food, hygiene packs and essentials for people starting again
- Pathways into stable housing and long‑term support
About the song project
The song was recorded at ABC’s studios and brought to life by the volunteers, wanting to stand with people experiencing homelessness. Your support turns its message into real‑world impact.
This project began as the housing and cost‑of‑living crisis began to hit hard, when the need for support was rising sharply. It was initiated by Dr Gillian Eastgate, then shaped and strengthened by:
- Stan Ghys — Project Director
- A volunteer choir from across Australia
- Emerging composers from a Festival of Voices songwriting workshop
- Paul Jarman — refining the composition and conducting
- Suze Pratten and Lucy Armstrong — rehearsal support
- Paul Jarman and Stewart Peters (Soundshed Music) — production and mixing
The message is simple and urgent: When we stand together, we can make things right.
