I'm donating my birthday to support Mission Australia
28 may not be a 'milestone' birthday - but after the year we have had, I will no longer take any birthdays for granted. Each year around the Sun is a gift and a chance to appreciate the privilege of life. However, the past year has also highlighted how differently we all experience life and how disproportionately impacted vulnerable Australians are - and not only in times of crises. For that reason, I'm donating my birthday to support homelessness in Australia.
105,000 people across the country sleep rough every single night. In line with turning 28, I've set my target at $2,800. This amount will provide multiple families with quality mattresses and beds, can provide crisis accomodation for homeless families and help connect them to support workers to walk them through finding safe accomodation and ongoing services.
Instead of gifts, I'm hoping you can make a donation so that you can help me help others fare a little better. Support is much appreciated.
